The Prior Lake girls lacrosse team looked in midseason form April 11.

Sophomore Ashley Norberg had five goals and sophomore Ally Barian scored four as the Lakers rolled to a 20-5 win at Rochester Century in their season opener.

Prior Lake dominated the second half, outscoring Rochester Century 11-1.

There's high hopes for the Lakers this season after an 11-win season last year (6-3 in the South Suburban Conference). Prior Lake lost in the Section 3 semifinals, so the goal is to get to the title game this spring and try to win it.

Senior Amber Beauvais led the Lakers last season with 57 goals. She scored two in the opener, adding two assists. Sophomore Aleah Fjelstad and ninth-grader Sarah Pierson also had two goals.

Junior Taylor Jones, ninth-grader Alexa Bloedow, sophomores Angela Bischel, Sydney Straub and senior Amber Galles each had one goal. Picking one assist were Norberg, Barian, Pierson and sophomore Lauren Priest.

Junior Shelby Will and sophomore Hannah Ostlund split the goalie duties, making one and five saves, respectively.

Prior Lake is back on the field April 17 at Shattuck-St. Mary's at 6 p.m. The Lakers' home opener is April 19 at home vs Mahtomedi at 1 p.m.
