Blake Weber will put the finishing touches on to his Prior Lake football career June 28.

The 2014 graduate will represent the Lakers in the 41st annual Minnesota High School All-Star Football game, which will be at St. John's University. Weber will play for the south squad as a linebacker that will take the team from the north.

Weber is one nine players from the South Suburban Conference on the south squad. The others are Lord Hyemang and Tyler Rolland of Apple Valley, Joey Marinello and Jacob Bechstein of Eastview, Alex Hoffman and Tyler Lattery of Lakeville South, Connor Yepsen of Rosemount and Jamiah Newell of Lakeville North.

Weber was the first-ever Laker football player to be up for the Mr. Football award in Minnesota. He was also first-team, all-state, along with teammate Drew Trabing, who was also selected to play in the all-star game, but had to pull out. Trabing was a three-year starter at tackle for the Lakers.

Weber was also the only player from the SSC to be nominated for Mr. Football. He was a three-year letterwinner for the Lakers, starting at linebacker and running back this past season. He made the all-state team as a linebacker.

Weber helped the Lakers to a 7-3 overall mark (6-1 in the SSC) this past fall. He had 14 touchdowns (10 rushing and four receiving).
