Lakers go one-two in Tourney

The Prior Lake trap shooting team won the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) Sporting Clays Tournament June 23 at the Horse and Hunt Club in Prior Lake.

The Lakers took the top two spots in the varsity team competition with 261 points being the winning total and 227 the runner-up mark. Sherburne was third (222).

Dave Singewald had the highest overall score, hitting 96 out of 100 targets. He was followed by Marshall Kobs (85), Matt Gill (80), Sam Schafer and Austin Warren (78), Cody Cloos (71) and Haleigh Lewis (70).

The Lakers' junior varsity also won team competition. Brice Michka had the highest score for Prior Lake (75), followed by Colton Warren (74).

Ten Lakers will be going to the SCTP Trap Shooting Nationals in Sparta, Ill. July 18-19.
