Jack Harris is one of 20 Minnesota hockey players selected for the USA Hockey National Developmental Camp in Buffalo June 7-14.

Harris will be a sophomore this fall at Prior Lake High School and is expected to be apart of the Lakers' varsity team this coming winter.

Harris, a defenseman, has played in the Prior Lake-Savage Hockey Association for 10 years, playing Banatam AA this past winter. He's one of five players from the South Suburban Conference selected to participate from Minnesota's birth class of 1999, including Lake North's Ryan Poehling and Tommy Klans and Lakeville South's Nate Knoepke and Josh Ess.

The USA Hockey Player Development Camps provide many young, talented players with concentrated on- and off-ice training and coaching, as well as the opportunity to compete against their peers.

Over the years, the best and brightest American hockey stars have shared time together at the summer camps. Players are selected from a national pool of camps in USA Hockey districts and rosters are formed by camp staff prior to the teams assembling at their respective locations.
