The Prior Lake Alpine ski teams have been busy with three competitions in five days at Buck Hill.

So are the Lakers ready for the Section 6 meet? That's next and it's set for Feb. 3 at Buck Hill starting at 9 a.m.

Can the Lakers advance a skier or two to the Alpine state meet, which is Feb. 11 at Giants Ridge in Biwabik?

Prior Lake competed in the South Suburban Conference Championships Jan. 27. The girls were third out of seven schools with 272 points, followed by the boys in fourth with 260.

"Both teams performed well in less than ideal conditions," said Lakers coach Dave Everson. "The boys had more consistent finishes and the girls had their best results ever, both individually and as a team.

"Hopefully we can keep building momentum toward a good result in the Section 6 race," added Everson.
