The Prior Lake girls lacrosse team had no problems in its playoff opener June 2.

The top-seeded Lakers, ranked No. 2 in the state, rolled to a 17-3 home win over eighth-seeded Holy Angels in the Section 6 quarterfinals.

The Lakers (13-1) overall will take on fifth-seeded Eastview (7-7) in the semifinals June 6 at the Edina Community Center at 5 p.m. The other semifinal features second-seeded Apple Valley (13-1) against third-seeded Edina (9-5) at 7 p.m.

The winners square off the for the title June 8 at Burnsville High School. For complete brackets, go to www.mshsl.org.

Prior Lake is seeking its third straight trip to state. It beat Apple Valley 14-5 for the title last yearn en route to a program-best fourth-place finish at state. The Lakers won the consolation title in 2015.

Prior Lake's only loss this spring is 18-6 to No. 1-ranked Eden Prairie, the defending state champs. The Lakers beat Apple Valley 9-7 in South Suburban Conference play back on April 27, scoring two goals in the final two minutes of play.

The Lakers take a seven-game win streak into the section semifinals.
