The Prior Lake softball team earned a pair of one-run wins to stay alive in the Section 2AAAA tournament at Miller Park.

The fifth-seeded Lakers opened with a 3-1 loss to fourth-seeded Bloomington Jefferson May 23 and followed with wins over eighth-seeded Burnsville (4-3) and sixth-seeded Minnetonka (3-2) in two loser bracket games May 24.

The Lakers (13-10 overall) will take on third-seeded Eden Prairie May 28 at Miller Park at 4:30 p.m. The winner will get the loser of second-seeded Shakopee and Jefferson at 6:30 p.m.

The winner of that game will make to the finals May 30 at 5 p.m., and will have to win back-to-back games to claim the crown.

In win over Minnetonka, senior Kate Broderick singled to lead off the top of the sixth with the Lakers down 2-1. She came around to tie the game on sophomore Grace Mahowald's sacrifice fly.
