Rolling Along on the Hardwood

The Prior Lake boys basketball team continues to roll along.

The Lakers won their seventh straight game Jan. 9, getting 34 points from sophomore Dawson Garcia in an 88-51 South Suburban Conference home victory over Eagan.

Prior Lake (7-1 overall) improved to 3-0 in the SSC and is back on the league court Jan. 11 at home versus Burnsville at 7 p.m. The Lakers are home to Delano, ranked No. 9 in Class 3A, Jan. 13 at 4 p.m.

Prior Lake is back in SSC action Jan. 16 at No. 3 Lakeville North at 7 p.m.

In beating Eagan, the Lakers rolled out to a 41-23 lead at the break and never looked back. Garcia hit the 30-point mark for the third time this season. He leads the team at 25.1 points per game.

The Lakers had 10 players in the scoring column with junior Sam Nissen also in double figures with 14 points. Senior Jack Grieves scored nine points, while junior Robert Jones netted eight and senior Brandon Collins scored six.
