Jutting Selected To Compete In National Camp

Jackson Jutting will skate with some of the top 17-year-olds in the country this summer.

The Prior Lake junior was selected to compete in the 2018 USA Hockey Boys Select 17 National Player Development Camp. The top players were selected to represent Minnesota, following their recent performances at the CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance Final 54 Festivals held at Plymouth Ice Center.

Jutting will head to Amherst, New York for the national camp this summer. It will take place June 26 to July 2.

Other Minnesota skaters selected along with Jutting: forwards Robert Christy of St. Thomas Academy, Matthew Gleason of Cretin-Derham Hall, Aaron Hulgen of Roseau, Trevor Kukkonen of Maple Grove, Teddy Lagerback of Minnetonka, John Middlestad of Eden Prairie, Mason Nevers of Edina, Garrett Pinoniemi of Holy Family, Charles Schoen of Andover and Nate Warner of St. Cloud Cathedral, defensemen Jake Boltman of Edina, Nikolai Charchenko of Holy Family, Christian Miller of Greenway, Brett Oberle of Hill-Murray, Mason Reiners of Edina and Mason Wheeler of Rosemount and goalie Ethan Haider of Maple Grove.

Jutting is a three-year letterwinner of the Lakers. He led the team in scoring this past winner with 21 goals and 16 assists.

As a sophomore, Jutting also led Prior Lake in points with 27 (10 goals, 17 assists). In his first season with the Lakers as a ninth-grader, Jutting helped the Lakers reach the Section 2AA title game, finishing with 12 goals and 16 assists.

The Lakers lost 4-2 to Eden Prairie in the final.
