Better Scores For The Lakers On SSC Links

The Prior Lake girls golf team moved up a spot in the second South Suburban Conference tournament.

The Lakers had a team score of 410 at Crystal Lake Golf Course in Lakeville to finish seventh overall. Lakeville North won the title with a 320.

Prior Lake was eighth in the first SSC tourney April 30.

Sophomore Sidney Ford and junior Isabel Benson led the Lakers at Crystal Lake, shooting 94 and 96, respectively. Senior Mylan Tran, junior Paris Kallevig and sophomore Lynh Tran each finished with 110, followed by sophomore Zoe Chmielewski with 114.

Prior Lake also competed in a dual meet versus Shakopee May 7 at the Ridges of Sand Creek Golf Course in Jordan. The Lakers had a team total of 382, compared to 361 for the Sabers.

Benson led the Lakers with a 90, followed by Ford and Lynh Tran each with 94. Mylan Tran carded a 104, followed by junior Charlotte Huntington with a 114 and Chmielewski with 121.

Prior Lake will compete in back-to-back tournaments in Duluth May 18-19 at Ridgeview Country Club and Northland Country Club, respectively.

The third SSC tournament is May 21 at Valleywood Golf Course in Apple Valley May 21 at 2 p.m., while the SSC Championships are May 22 at Heritage Links Golf Club at 10 a.m.
