Skaters Keep Momentum With SSC Road Win

The Prior Lake boys hockey team continued its momentum in the South Suburban Conference.

The Lakers won their second straight league game, improving to 6-3 in the conference with a 5-3 victory at Farmington Jan. 8.

Prior Lake  (7-6 overall) is back home Jan. 12 to take on Lakeville South in SSC action at 3 p.m. It's the start of five start games at home, including league ones against Eastview (Jan. 15), Eagan (Jan. 22) and Rosemount (Jan. 26), and another against No. 5 Duluth East (Jan. 25).

In the win over Farmington, senior Jackson Jutting picked up three assists to lead the Lakers, while senior Charlie Kashmark had two goals and an assist.

Seniors Ty Trachsel and Brian Kallberg and junior Preston Lindholm also had goals for Prior Lake.

Junior Lazarus Kaebel, seniors Wade Winter and Kobe Kimmes and Kallberg each had one assist. Senior Cade Kujawski made his first start of the season in goal making 27 saves.
