CLUB & INTRAMURALS 2023-2024

CLUBS

1. A special interest club may be offered when there is sufficient student interest and an adult willing to act as club sponsor/adviser.

2. Contact the Activities office for a club application and approval by the Activities Director.  At the initial meeting clubs will complete a roster. Both the  application and roster will need to be returned to the Activities Office.

3. When the club becomes chartered, by the Activities Director, the following will be available to the club:

A. The club will be listed in the Activities handbook

B. The club’s picture can be taken by the yearbook staff, and included in the yearbook. Contact the yearbook adviser each year.

C. The club may post information (in designated posting areas only) about upcoming meeting dates, times and locations.  The activity office will also post meetings dates, locations or links and times on the "all students" Schoology feed weekly. Email bfuller@plsas.org  with meeting notices.

4. The club will have access to a suitable meeting place before or after school.  The room must be reserved in advance through the Activities office.  A supervisor (Staff) will need to supervise all meetings/activities.

5. The club is not allowed to use a district web platform for dissemination of information.  Groups can create a website outside the ISD719 domain. We will link that website to the district Activities page.

*All clubs must meet with students for a minimum of 20 hours per club and involve at least five students in their meetings.

Independent Provider Programs

An Independent Provider is defined as an individual, group or organization that provides an opportunity for PLHS students to participate in a co-curricular program.  The providers are not required to be licensed educators.  IP status to provide an authorized PLHS co-curricular program is approved on an annual basis by the PLHS Director of Student Activities.
